100 Strangers : Stranger No 23

Finding a stranger is not an easy task, finding a stranger with an interesting story is not easy either. But how about locating a stranger who turns out to be a well-known photojournalist ? oh boy! Presenting Mr. Kushal Ray, one of the creator of the photo novel called Intimacies.

While talking a short break at Territy bazar on a fine Sunday morning, noticed a middle-aged man trying to frame a scene using a Fuji gear, I was standing far enough to identify the exact model. I was sure it’s not XE1, even though it looked like one, identical but smaller. Couldn’t hold my curiosity any longer, walked down to him to see it more closely and it turns out to be a Fuji XA1. But wait I didn’t even know about his real identity, how could I ? Which I discovered later, thanks to Google for that!

The documentary photographer of Intimacies, Kushal Ray was a sports journalist in his early life at famous english newspaper ‘The Telegraph’. Later he did a lot of solo & group exhibitions of his drawing, painting and photographs in various countries of south-east asia Asia & Europe.

So how does it feel to include a photojournalist in 100 Strangers project at Walk of Life? Extremely Delighted!
