Brotherhood – Kolkata Portraits

It’s always been a pleasure to capture better portraits, especially when the subjects are interesting. It can be the expression on the their faces or a may be a simple smile.

Just when I was thinking to take a snack break, noticed these interesting folks, somewhere around Jorabagan in North Kolkata. Both of them were resting their left hand in a very similar way. I stopped for a moment and took a couple of shots just to make sure I got it right on my XF35. I almost started walking looking at the shots I took, but paused, went back and showed the photo to them. It’s their photo after all :). This whole time both of them were watching me silently with dubious eyes, started smiling looking at their own image on my XE1.

I didn’t even ask their names, I don’t even know if they were related. I guess, It’s just a lot of similarities between them inspired me to decide the title of the photograph.

Very typical of Kolkata. Good photos although I feel sad for these guys because they have such a dour expression on their faces. Hard life?

Hope not. They were pretty silent and suspicious at first, until I went back to show the photo. Both of them smiled :)

Thanks a lot Kalpana for dropping by :)
