Streets of Pune – The First Look

Frankly speaking, things were not exactly going on my way for past couple of weeks. From photography perspective, of course. Unexpected work pressure in the new city has always been a bad combination. Being a part of, even for few days, 9th most populus city in India and the second largest in the Indian state of Maharashtra,  it is would be heinous crime not to give a visit to the streets of Pune.

After doing some street shooting in Kolkata, I can tell it was a lovely experience. I visited Laxmi Road and nearby streets in the last weekend, which is highly recommended if you are a street photographer in Pune.

People are mostly friendly provided you can mix with them, they should not feel that some outsider is shooting in the middle of the market. Being an Indian in another Indian city, didn’t have any face any unpleasant situations. The place I visited was quite crowded, thanks to my small & lightweight XE1 mounted with 18-55 and sometimes XF35.

All Good

As it mentioned in the title, this is just a first look of the Pune streets. Hopefully will be able to visit more of the city in the upcoming weekends.
