The Baul Singer

The mystical Baul music cult is not just unique to Bengal, but also has a special place in the history of world music. It’s fairly easy to identify a Baul singer from his saffron robe.

While travelling back from Malda Town, already boarded train, Padatik express. Just when settling down and preparing to put my Fuji XE1 inside the bag. This guy showed up inside the train with his performance.

I was able to take this portrait of the singer without anyone’s attention including the artist himself. Thanks to my small and compact Fuji XE1, I sincerely doubt if this is even possible using any DSLR camera in market.

What do you think ? I would love to hear them.
