Kalimpong, the fascinating hill station in the northern part of West Bengal, known for its educational institutions, many of which were established during the British colonial period. A popular tourist destination with a magnificent Himalayan beauty, owing to its temperate climate.
The Kalimpong streets are interesting too, the vibrant colored attire of the people has added an extra charm to the local lifestyle. The photography in the street of Kalimpong was fun. The people were friendly & peaceful which helped me eventually shooting directly in front of them. Nobody complained. Few of them even posed for my XE1.
All the photos has been taken using Fuji XF35 lens. It’s tack sharp feature, fast and silent auto-focus and beautiful color rendition is the exactly the way I wanted it to be. I love natural colors, but playing with the color hue, luminance and saturation during post-processing now has become the part of my daily routine.
Busy streets of Kalimpong is the paradise for street photographers, specially near ‘Clock Tower’ area. My primary aim was to portray the lifestyle of the Kalimpong natives, who are mostly Nepali ethnicity.
I would love to hear your feedback on the photographs, which is the biggest inspiration of this blog. Don’t forget to share the story.
