A tale of an evening at Toronto Christmas Market 2018

Since I moved to Toronto from Kolkata, didn’t really get a chance to explore the city; a photo walk was long due. Partly due to numerous movements in the early days to find the right place. Of course, it was not an easy task in the city of Toronto. Residing at the heart of the downtown it would have been a real shame not to visit Christmas Market. I heard only good things from friends & colleagues on this popular event at Distillery Historic District of Toronto.

So on 22nd Dec, a beautiful Saturday evening when I could make it out to visit the 9th Annual Toronto Christmas Market. Well, the first impression wasn’t so great. The unending queues and the chilly breeze tried their best to bring down my motivation but eventually, Christmas Carol played its part at the entrance.

I carried my favorite, Fuji XE1 with 35mm WR2. Stunning light canopies, family restaurants, handcrafted beer, German Pretzels, gingerbread and I must not omit the hot and delicious Smoked Turkey Leg & that awesome Christmas band. A lovely kick-start of my first winter in the city of Toronto, and as they say “right place, right time”.

A not-for-profit organization, Toronto Christmas Market will surely make you fall in love with the holiday season, all over again.
