Work in Progress at Kumortuli

The biggest & most significant sociocultural event of Bengali Hindu Society, Durga Puja is still months away from now. But that didn’t stop me from visiting Kumortuli, traditionally potters’ quarter in northern Kolkatain the month of July.

Located this Idol maker at the alley of Kumortuli, doing some fine tune adjustments on the face of goddess Durga, the art-work is in progress. You will be surprised see the effort and concentration the artist was putting in his work, just amazing.

Fuji XF35 lens used to shoot this photograph. Slowly I am getting comfortable using this focal length.
